Private lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60 minute increments during a student's assigned weekly appointment. Private lessons focus primarily on technique and  repertoire as well as musicianship and creative skills.

Practice is one of the most important parts of the studio process. Students should come to each lesson with their lesson materials prepared.  Parents can greatly help the students' progress by setting up a regular daily practice routine at home.  Weekly practice goals will be discussed at each lesson, as well as kept in a lesson journal.

Scheduling,  Attendance and Make Up Lessons

Students are expected to attend each scheduled lesson.  When you register for lessons, your time slot is reserved and held for you, and is not considered an open option for new or waiting students. For this reason, I cannot offer "per lesson" or "pay-as-you-go" payments.  Your tuition payment secures your scheduled lesson appointment time for the entire month.

In the event that a student needs to miss a lesson because of a conflict or illness, please contact me with as much advance notice as  possible, and no less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Each student may have ONE make-up lesson per semester.  Make-up lessons will not be offered for no-shows or late cancellations.

Monthly tuition cannot be pro-rated for absences.

Any lessons that must be rescheduled due to illness or emergency by the instructor will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
